ABC Orders Global Competition Series from Mark Burnett

Just call it The Amazing Race 2.0.
ABC has ordered production on Expedition Impossible, a global competition series from executive producer Mark Burnett (Survivor), the network announced Thursday.
Unlike The Amazing Race, which has teams of two, Impossible will follow teams of three solving problems as they race around the world. The series harkens back to the Eco-Challenge, a multi-day expedition competition created by Burnett that launched on MTV in 1995 before landing at USA and earning an Emmy nomination in 2000.

"I love high adventure television, and I am so excited to be working with ABC in bringing an epic Indiana Jones-style experience to the viewers," Burnett said in a statement.
