Good news and bad news out of ABC Family on Friday.
The network has ordered additional episodes of Bunheads, while renewing Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy and Switched at Birth. Jane by Design, however, was canceled after just one season, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Bunheads is set to return in the winter, while Baby Daddy and Melissa & Joey will debut their second and third seasons, respectively, in spring 2013. Switched at Birth will debut the rest of its Season 1 episodes on Monday, Sept. 3.

"Two years ago we embarked on a bold strategy to grow the breadth and scope of original programming and create a Wednesday night summer comedy destination," said President of ABC Family Michael Riley in a statement. "The new series have resonated with our viewers, and the combination of drama, comedy and reality brings great depth to our lineup. Our stable of strong series continues to grow, and I'm thrilled with the strength of our schedule."
Meanwhile, Jane by Design's July finale drew 1.2 million viewers, down from the season average of 1.3 million, which contributed to ABC Family's decision not to pick up the series for a second season.
