ABC Reteams With Lost's Carlton Cuse For Spiritual Drama

Carlton Cuse

It's a heavenly reunion for ABC and Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse.

The network has closed a deal for Cuse to write and executive produce a spiritual drama called Stronger, Vulture reports.

Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse reflect on life after Lost

The project is about musician-turned-benefactor and spiritual guide Tom Stronger — yes, Tom Stronger! -- and will also include a yet-to-be-disclosed narrative twist. Stronger is loosely based on the life of bestselling author and pastor Rob Bell, who will write the pilot with Cuse and also executive produce the series.

Bell is a musician who ended up starting his own church, Michigan's Mars Hill Bible Church. Because of his spiritual ties, Stronger is expected to explore religious themes, but without an excessive amount of dogma as exhibited on faith-centered series like 7th Heaven, according to Vulture.

This is one of two projects Cuse is working on for ABC. The other, Point of Honor, is a Civil War-themed project he sold to the network last year that is in the running to be picked up later this season or next fall.
