WHEN BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO BAD SHOWS

CBS's Big Brother is in big trouble again. According to TheSmokingGun.com, 25-year-old contestant Chiara Berti was arrested in late May for drunk driving. The incident took place in Los Angeles, where Berti was in the final stages of the Big Brother 3 audition/screening process. Berti's arraignment has been set for Sept. 3. CBS spokesman Chris Ender responds: "We were aware of the incident, but it didn't preclude her participation in the show." And what if Berti's still in the Big house when her Sept. 3 court date rolls around? "If that's the case, then we'd have to make a decision whether she's allowed to temporarily leave the house to make the court appearance or [if] that would be grounds for eviction from the show," he says, "but neither scenario has yet been discussed." Ironically, in a Q&A posted on CBS.com, Berti expressed concern about the exposure that comes with read more

Question: At the end of Door ...

Question: At the end of Door to Door, they ran the URL for Bill Porter's website. We thought it was real and so we tried to log on and purchase something because we were so moved by the movie, but the site wouldn't come up. Please help us find it.

Televisionary: The URL given for Porter's site (BillPorter.com) was correct, but the problem you're having reaching it is a classic case of too much of a good thing. So many people watched and enjoyed TNT's first broadcast of the movie, which stars William H. Macy as the real-life Porter, that the site's server has been overwhelmed with customers wanting to buy something from him, according to a TNT spokesperson. She asked that you be patient and keep trying.

Question: We recently saw Nan ...

Question: We recently saw Nan Martin in Shallow Hal. Has she been in any TV shows? — Dawn, Phoenix, Ariz.

Televisionary: Martin, who's appeared on the big screen in such offerings as Goodbye Columbus and the two Other Side of the Mountain movies, made her first significant series appearance opposite Jeffrey Tambor, who played a blind English professor in ABC's Mr. Sunshine. However, since that show was only on the air from March to September in 1986, I'm betting you missed it.

More likely, you caught her in her numerous appearances as Ms. Louder, owner of Winfred-Louder, the store Drew Carey works for on The Drew Carey Show read more

Question: Could you please ...

Question: Could you please refresh my memory as to the lyrics of the Grizzly Adams theme? — Frances R., Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Televisionary: It'd be positively beastly of me to refuse, wouldn't it? (And no whining about that pun, please — there are plenty more where that came from.) The theme song from the series, which ran on NBC from February 1977 to July 1978, was sort of what you'd get if you threw Michael Murphy's "Wildfire" and anything by Bread into a blender. And went a little something like this:

Deep inside the forest there's a door into another land.
Here is our life and home.
We are staying here forever in the beauty of this place all alone.
We keep on hoping.
Maybe there's a world where we don't have to run.
Maybe there's a time we'll call our own, living free in harmony and majesty.
Take me home. Take me home.

It comes off all pure, sweet and natural, wouldn't you say? Well, j read more
