Cameron Diaz won a court battle to block the release of topless pics taken of her before she was a big star. The photos were ordered sealed by a Los Angeles judge on Monday. Diaz is suing photographer John Rutter, claiming he forged her signature on the photo release. read more

Eminem is slated to appear in a Detroit courtroom Aug. 18 to ask a judge to dismiss a $1 million lawsuit filed against him by a former schoolmate. DeAngelo Bailey claims the rapper's song "Brain Damage" — which named Bailey as a bully — hurt his rep and thwarted his attempts to launch a music career. read more

Viewers who thought Cagney and Lacey were an ambiguously gay duo may have been onto something. As reported in the current issue of TV Guide magazine (on sale now), Less Than Perfect's exec producer, Christine Zander, approached Tyne Daly and Sharon Gless to guest-star on the ABC sitcom as the lesbian parents of resident oddball Owen (Andy Dick). Gless was up for it, but Daly nixed the reunion. "It would have been brilliant," says Zander. "Strictly dream casting." On the plus side, we hear that Jane Curtin and Susan Saint James are available. read more

Televisionary: I no longer have to, Marissa. You see, I've been married for a while and maybe you'll understand when you're older, but that changes everything. I, for instance, don't have much time for in-person male companionship anymore. Watching sports, political talk shows and network news is about all the testosterone splash I get. Well, that and trading Simpsons lines with a guy at my office now and then.

Oh, you mean you? You can't "get" anyone to like you, sweetheart. But you can be yourself and see if he appreciates that. If he doesn't, you may be sad for a while. But you'll eventually find that just leaves you free to find the boy who will — and who you'll end up liking a whole lot better. It might take longer than you want it to, but be patient.
