Jennifer Coolidge is joining the cast of 2 Broke Girls as the new neighbor of Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline (Beth Behrs), Deadline reports. The recurring role of Sophie was specifically created for Coolidge, according to the site.

Coolidge, 48, is best known for her roles in Legally Blonde and American Pie. She guest-starred on 2 Broke Girls executive producer Michael Patrick King's previous series, Sex and the City, and most recently appeared as herself on an episode of Bravo's Mad Fashion.
2 Broke Girls airs Mondays at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.
