Academy Sets 2013 Oscars Date

The Oscars were less than a month ago, but the academy has already locked in next year's date. The 85th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013.
The announcement ends speculation — for another year at least — that the ceremony might move to an earlier date. The Oscars have maintained a late February date (or early March date in Olympic years) since 2004.

Nominations will be announced Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 8:30 a.m. ET / 5:30 a.m. PT.
The ceremony will again be held at the Hollywood and Highland Center (formerly the Kodak Theater) and will air on ABC.
