2009 American Music Awards Adds Three Idols to Lineup

Three American Idol alums — Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Daughtry — have been added to the list of performers for the 2009 American Music Awards. They will join previously announced acts including Idol graduate Adam Lambert, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez and the Black Eyed Peas.

2009 AMA nominations 

"American Idol continually produces great talent and we are looking forward to hosting Kelly, Carrie, Daughtry and Adam. It's a great fit for the AMAs," AMA producer Larry Klein said in a statement.

The AMAs will be broadcast live from Los Angeles's Nokia Theatre Nov. 22 at 8/7c on ABC.
