Bill Bellamy with Playmates, Last Comic Standing

Props to the comics. In the previous episode, our jokesters and jesters went on a shopping spree to gather items to be used as comic props in a stand-up performance. (Paul Foot was a prop flop, while Jeff Dye was top of the props.) The action switches to a legendary L.A. hot spot tonight: The final eight stand-up aces travel to the Playboy mansion, where they're challenged to tell rib-tickling bedtime stories to Hugh Hefner's lingerie-clad gal pals Holly, Bridget and Kendra, who listen with enraptured attention on their heart-shaped bed. Hefner makes an appearance. —

With Bobby's wedding just on the horizon, the sports-loving Chi-towners experience the varied wins and losses of romance. First there's PJ, who deliberates whether to embrace or ward off the romantic overtures of Bobby's brother, a reputed love-'em-and-leave-'em Lothario. Then Andy and his wife's rocky-road romance lands them square in couples counseling. In other developments, Brendan's plans to start up a nightclub hit a bump, and Mexican Freddy (David Pressman) makes an unforeseen visit. —

The American Dream becomes a nightmare for Shiri Appleby (
Roswell) and Brandon Routh (
Superman Returns), who play a young couple who thought they found a super home in an idyllic community. But they soon discover there is an ugly price to pay for those beautifully manicured lawns: There are strict rules in place to maintain the perfection, and this neighborhood watch will go to sinister lengths to enforce them. Mary Harron (
American Psycho) directs the story written by Kelly Kennemer. —

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale — a tale of Kathy (and the rest) traveling to an isle. This is better than a three-hour tour, though, as Kathy, brave and sure, basks in the Polynesian paradise of Bora Bora at a gay-friendly retreat. But there's work to do: Griffin gets riffin', firing off two stand-up performances and hobnobbing with fans. In domestic news, Kathy tries to persuade her mother to move in to a retirement home. —

Last week's premiere gave us an idea of just how low these comics will go for the $50,000 prize when they unknowingly tried to seduce their parents. Tonight's challenge is a close encounter of a different kind, as the eight remaining contestants swallow what's left of their pride — and some provocatively placed sushi — in a parody of
Rock of Love, with comic Luenell Campbell from the
Borat movie serving as the object of their desires. —
