The Real Housewives of New Jersey Episode Recap: "The Last Supper"

Jacqueline Laurita

On the season finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, we finally get to see the highly buzzed, table-flipping blowout. Teresa invites all the housewives, including Danielle, to a dinner party. But when Danielle whips out a copy of the book everyone is talking about, things get ugly real fast.

Teresa's New Mansion
This week's episode starts out with the grand tour of Teresa new mansion. Dina and Lexi arrive with a gift of bread so she will "always have food on the table" and salt to ward off the "evil people." Wonder who that's aimed at. The girls go through the house, and it's swankier than most banquet halls. Teresa tells Dina she wants to have a housewarming party — but it would have to be at a restaurant because her house isn't ready. Housewarming party without the house? Love it. Teresa figures she'll give Danielle the benefit of the doubt and invite her to her dinner party because she doesn't want to be rude. Jacqueline is relieved Teresa decides to do this. Dina? Not so much.

Danielle Strikes a Pose
Danielle shows her daughters her portfolio from her modeling and acting days. Based on the her daughters' faces, they were a bit risqué. She does admit she got arrested and changed her name. The book was written by her vindictive first husband. She sits her daughters down and tells them she has learned from her mistakes.

Jacqueline Becomes Mom of the Year
Jacqueline's parents arrive in their RV to visit her and the family. They're really down to earth — the type of people who can't believe their own daughter would try something like Botox. Jacqueline gets some alone time with her parents and talks to them about the hidden car in the warehouse. She says her daughter Ashley has done well in summer school, but cops an attitude too much. They advise Jacqueline to give her daughter the car but for Jacqueline to control the keys.

Jacqueline and her hubby surprise Ashley by showing up in the driveway with her new car. She's shocked. Jacqueline and the husband do make it clear that the car isn't hers, but she will earn more time with the car as she proves herself.

Dina's Ready to Retire
Dina's daughter, Lexi, is growing up and getting rid of all her stuffed animals from under her bed — we're talking several garbage bags full. They also discover Lexi has been hording Halloween candy for years in her dresser drawer. This experience makes Dina realize she misses spending this kind of time at home with her daughter.

Dina, Caroline and Lexi go out for dinner, and after some obligatory talk of bubbies Dina tells Caroline she's not made for the business world. Dina's torn because she's at a point in her career she wants to be, but misses being home and spending time with her daughter. Caroline tries to give her sisterly advice on the matter and Dina declares she's retired and will now be a housewife.

Meanwhile, we meet Caroline's German Shepherd. But this isn't just any family pet — this is a trained killer. Mental note: Don't mess with Caroline.

The Dinner Party Face-Off
Dina, Caroline and Jacqueline arrive at the party first with their families, and everyone can't stop talking about Teresa's new and improved bubbies.

The gang moves to the dinner table and Caroline announces she's already buzzed. Danielle and her daughters enter and the tension mounts. Teresa manages to diffuse it by joking around with her dirty humor that involved the retelling of how her husband was dying to have sex with her the day she got out of surgery. Everyone is laughing and having a grand old time when all of a sudden — boom goes the dynamite. Danielle whips out a copy of "the book."

Everyone awkwardly looks at the book sitting on the table out of the corner of their eye until Danielle says, "I'd like to talk to all of you for a minute." Dina realizes this is geared towards her. Danielle announces only two things in the book are true — she was arrested and she changed her name. Dina begins to say something and Danielle gets defensive. Next thing you know Teresa chimes in, and, well now it gets ugly. Teresa asks for the little kids to leave the table so they don't have to witness this fight. Good call. The older children remain, but so do Danielle's girls.

Dina keeps saying she never showed anyone the book, and then more accusations and denials are flung across the dinner table. Caroline tries to hush Dina so Danielle can just say say what she needs to say. Danielle says it wasn't necessary to show the book to the whole town, and because of all of this she had been throwing up and had diarrhea for three weeks. After some more back-and-forth, Caroline tells Danielle she's the one who showed the book. Wow. Jacqueline was torn, but sat quietly until Dina came to her defense. Surprisingly enough, Jacqueline stands up for Danielle and says Dina was lying. Whoa, can't say I saw that one coming. Now Dina and Jacqueline go at it and Dina calls Jacqueline two-faced. Teresa jumps back in and asks Danielle why her ex wrote that book in the first place. Danielle snaps back and the next thing you know, Teresa is tossing a table and needs to be restrained by her husband. It isn't until Jacqueline's husband chimes in as the voice of reason that things settle down.

And there you have it. The Real Housewives of New Jersey. What a season! As far as updates go, we learn the following about each of the women:
-Dina is enjoying her life as a housewife
-Teresa is expecting baby No. 4
-Caroline stands by her decision to expose the book
-Danielle is still looking for her soul mate
-Jacqueline gave birth to a baby boy Thursday (though the show neglected to update her status since it only said she was preggers)

What did you think of the finale blowout? Was Danielle out of line, or did she have a right to confront the other wives? What would you have done if you were put in the middle like Jacqueline? Why do you think Teresa went off like she did? Share you thoughts below!
