The Biggest Loser Episode Recap: Week 11

Last week Rebecca was sent home (and into the arms of her now boyfriend Daniel), leaving just five people remaining for four finale spots. Who gets one more shot at the $250,000 grand prize and the title? Keep reading to find out.

With one week until heading back to the real world, Bob and Jillian want to show their trainees just how far they've come. As the contestants do some of the workouts they struggled with in Week 1, we viewers get treated to some juxtaposed images of their former selves.

Suze Orman makes a surprise visit this week which may seem like an odd choice of guest for a weight-loss show. As she explains, though, wealth is a part of health and obesity is an expensive disease. She meets with them one-on-one and doles out the tough love she's known for.

Next the contestants participate in a money challenge. While walking on a treadmill they must answer questions. For each one they get right, they get $1,000. For each one wrong, they must increase their speed and incline. A few interesting facts: obese employees make $7,000 less than their non-obese counterparts and going from obese to an ideal weight will save $1 million over 40 years.

Bob takes some time to talk to the remaining five. He wants to see where their heads are, but also wants everyone to admit it's scary to return home. Things get emotional when Amanda tells Bob she's never been so happy in her life. When the two take their heart-to-heart outside, Bob tells her she's his "biggest success story this season." Cue the cheese. "I was looking for heroes this season...I found one in you," Bob whispers to Amanda.

This week's task is the "carry the weight you've lost one last time" challenge. Each contestant, wearing a jersey with the number of pounds they've lost on it, is attached to a pulley with the total weight they've lost on their back. They then must take a football, which represents each week and the amount they lost that week, and run across and drop it on the other side. Super Rod Woodson, the defensive back who was a member of the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl-winning squad, is on hand to cheer them on. With a clear lead, Allen wins the challenge, a trip for two to the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl and $5,000 worth of sports equipment for the school of his choice — he gives the money to his daughter's school.

Back on campus, Danny shares a song he wrote about "losing your way and waking your heart back up." We see more flashes of everyone from the first week.

Time for the weigh-in. Liz is up first. She loses 5 pounds, 2.46 percent, to bring her current weight to 198 and her total weight loss to 69 pounds. Rudy drops 12 pounds this week, 3.9 percent, bringing his weight to 296 and total loss to 146 pounds; he also sets the record for the biggest drop in 11 weeks. Allen loses 8 pounds, 3.36 percent; his weight is now 230 and his total 95. Danny loses 16 pounds, 5.26 percent; he weighs 288 and has lost 142 pounds. Last to weigh-in is Amanda, who consistently has single digits. She needs to lose 6 pounds to stay above the yellow line and she's successful, losing 7 pounds, 3.36 percent. She weighs 186; total weight loss — 64 pounds.

With Allen and Liz up for elimination, Amanda is the swing vote. Allen takes a few minutes to speak with her in private and let her know it's no secret that, percentage-wise, he won't be able to get down to what he needs to win. Allen also reminds Amanda that Liz voted to send her home recently.

Danny votes out Allen, while Rudy votes out Liz — both as expected. It comes down to Amanda and she chooses to send Allen home. "From one woman to another I want to support her in this," Amanda states. She also wants Liz in the final — which will push her harder.

I have to say I'm bummed to see Allen go. I've liked him all season long. In his "where are they now" piece we see he's down to 220 and I can't wait to see how he looks at the finale.
