Newly crowned Season 8 champs Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas learned that the hard way after they took their trophies on a cross-country trip only to have them end up as shattered glass.
"We had to take them to New York and they shipped them back and when they opened the box, they were in pieces," Ballas tells E! Online.
Adds Johnson: "I called [Mark] and I was like, 'My trophy's broke!'"
