Nip/Tuck Season 5, Part 1 — Review
Nip/Tuck - Season 5, Part 1
Sean becomes a TV star, Christian moonlights as a gigolo, Julia becomes a lesbian and Matt dates his half-sister. Suffice to say, the first half of Nip/Tuck's fifth season is nothing but unexpected twists and turns. The 14-episode set is filled with plenty of shocking storylines as McNamara and Troy start their new life in Beverly Hills. Guest stars include Rosie O'Donnell, Lauren Hutton, Daphne Zuniga, Oliver Platt, Portia de Rossi and even a teenage villain played by 90210's AnnaLynne McCord. But nothing beats Sharon Gless' portrayal of Sean's psycho-obsessed agent, Colleen.
In addition to all the juicy episodes, the collection contains some excellent special features. Among the highlights are interviews with the cast and crew on the first half of the season and scenes from the "cutting room floor." (Get it? cutting room floor?) And of course, what's a DVD set without a blooper reel? In this case, it's dubbed "Severed Parts." While it would have been nice to get some more creative extras from such a creative show, the episodes themselves (and all the pretty people, naturally) make this buy well worth the money.
