Cheers: Now That's Must-See TV!
Cheers to NBC for restoring Thursday-night royalty to the throne.
No, I'm not talking about Jennifer Aniston and Anthony Edwards, although they were perfectly fine as Jack's "crazy putty" fling on 30 Rock and flashback-from-the-dead Dr. Mark Greene on ER. I mean Night Court vets Harry Anderson, Markie Post and Charlie Robinson.
In a 30 Rock episode slyly entitled "The One with the Cast of Night Court" (a nod to Friends), the trio reunited to shoot their sitcom's never-completed wedding finale and provide closure for superfan Kenneth, who was upset over his new NBC page's uniform. (Hey, it made sense to Tracy Jordan.) If there's any justice, 30 Rock will run as long as Night Court, Friends and ER combined.
