Rocky Carroll, NCIS: "Knockout" Punches Up the Mystery
Hello again,
Sorry I didn't make an entry last week. Unfortunately, my mother has had a bit of a health setback and had to go back to the hospital. She's out now and doing better. I want to thank those of you who've sent me your thoughts and well-wishes for my mother. I really appreciate it.
Funny, when we filmed the episode "Knockout," I was dealing with my mother's hospital care. The same scenario was true while watching the episode last Tuesday night. She was unable to see the episode, but I've got a DVD copy for when she gets home.
I was glad the episode finally aired. From some of the feedback I've received, "Knockout" may have raised more questions than provided answers about Vance. Many of you are longtime followers of NCIS so I know this is not your first rodeo when it comes to storylines for the show. I'm as curious as you are as to how the Vance story will unravel in the future.
Dorjean, you asked a very good question; the answer is yes. The mystery surrounding Vance was supposed to intensify after "Knockout." The assumption by many was that most or all questions about this character would be answered in "Knockout," but true to form the writers/producers have other plans. I'm not being coy, I simply don't know what's coming, and that's the best part for me.
I want you all to know (and I know many of you have wondered about this) that the producers of NCIS read your comments. They read the blogs, fan forums, etc;. They know what you like and don't like, and I believe it impacts storylines to some degree. Just wanted to let you know.
Sorry for the brief entry, but lots to deal with on the home front. As always, thanks for reading.
I'll write again soon,
Rocky Carroll
