The Ghost Whisperer Producers: "Save Our Soul"
Hi Everyone!
Kim's back from directing Episode 411 and is working on putting a lot of cool ghost magic into the show. While shooting, we encountered a ghost or two on set, and we will share these stories with you next week.
Tonight, our fourth episode of the new season, "Save Our Soul" airs. In this show, Melinda and Jim celebrate their anniversary by taking a romantic cruise. Their relaxing getaway is cut short when Melinda encounters a ghost who is wreaking havoc on a newlywed couple. The episode was filmed aboard the historic Queen Mary ocean liner, which is rumored to be haunted! This made shooting aboard the ship a bit spooky for our crew, especially when we added an assortment of stowaway earthbound spirits to the mix. The show was written by Co-Executive Producer Mark B. Perry, who is himself a cruise ship enthusiast. You can take a look at the documentary he produced about a Philadelphia boat, entitled SS United States: Lady in Waiting, here.
Tonight's show was directed by Gloria Muzio, making this her third episode of Ghost Whisperer. It stars Seamus Dever (Army Wives), Katherine LaNasa (Alfie), and Peyton List, who currently plays the character Jane on Mad Men.
Musically, this episode features a special performance by Solange Knowles (Geffen Records), who sings her song "6 O'Clock Blues" aboard the Queen Mary. We've created a music video to highlight this performance that you can watch here. We also showcase the song "American Boy" by Estelle featuring Kanye West.
Any tic-tac-toe fans out there? We've put our own GW spin on things by creating the game Tic-Tac-Ghost, which you can play here. Play against a friend or a friendly spirit. We'd also love to hear any haunted cruise ship stories you all have. Share them on our CBS message board.
As always, thanks for watching, and don't forget to check back next week when we roll out a ton of new stuff for Halloween.
X,
Kim & Ian
