Speaking of Love, don't miss her in tonight's episode, "Dead Listing." When a ghost (Greg Germann) leads Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) to his body in the crawlspace of a building, Melinda is pulled into an ever-deepening murder mystery featuring a very competitive real estate dealing power couple. The couple's picture perfect marriage turns out to be much more complicated than it appeared, and Melinda finds herself in the middle of a pitched battle between ghosts and the living. Meanwhile, Aiden (Connor Gibbs) plays a risky game when he uses his gift to impress friends with magic tricks.

"Dead Listing" was written by Executive Producer Laurie McCarthy and Co-Executive Producer Mark B. Perry — they did a great, great job. And kudos to Peter Werner for doing a wonderful job directing.

This episode guest stars: Greg Germann as Kirk Jansen (Ally McBeal, Quarantine), Perrey Reeves as Rita Jansen (Entourage) and Ion Overman as Detective Sam Blair (Castle, Three Rivers).

Musically, this episode features "Didn't See You," by Stars Crashing Cars (CBS Records), "Telescope" by Mindy Smith (Vanguard Records), "I Found You" by Selectracks, "American Girl" by Justin James (10 Spot), and "A Day" by Inara George (Everloving, Inc.). Tonight's episode features a true star and that's Cole Lannum, our charity winner who was given a walk-on role in this episode for his contribution to the Sunshine Pre-school Susan G. Komen Auction. He's the coroner during the corpse removal scene!

Here's some must-see TV:
"Lost In the Shadows" (Episode 509) -- airs on November 20th. Melinda and Jim's world gets turned upside down by a young ghost who lures Aiden into the dark side of the spirit world. It's a heart-stopper you won't want to miss! Make sure you tune to this tent pole episode—it clues you in to important mythology. P.K. did a fabulous job writing this intense, emotional script and Kim had the pleasure of directing it.

Ian starts directing today — "Living Nightmare" (Episode 513) — Oh, lucky 13! This episode was written by P.K. Simonds and Laurie McCarthy, and it's REALLY spooky— really, really spooky. What lurks within the walls of Rockland Memorial Hospital will shock you. Make sure you tune in on January 22nd.

Let's catch up on some Ghost Whisperer questions that you've posted:

What parts of the show do we film on the sound stages? We have four sound stages on the Universal Studios Back Lot in Universal City, CA. This helps us control the weather, light and sound. (You don't really notice how loud planes are until you're in the middle of shooting dialogue— if you're not on a sound stage, you have to cut, reset, wait for the plane to pass, then reshoot. Annoying!) On the stages are: Melinda and Jim's interior house, the Same As It Never Was shop interior, green screen, shop basement/university offices/archival rooms, hospital set and Eli's apartment. When we're not on stages we're usually on the Village Square or Elm Street on the back lot where we can shoot the exterior of Melinda and Jim's home.

What are some of Love's responsibilities as an executive producer on the show? She's worked in the entertainment industry since she was a child — well before Party of Five — so she's well versed in every aspect of production. Her insight and expertise as a producer is invaluable to us. Love participates in all aspects of the show — and we couldn't do it without her. As a director (this season she directed the premiere and will direct our 100th episode), she's great with the actors (as you can imagine) but she's also a very talented shot-maker. As you know, Jennifer Love Hewitt is the only "triple threat" in dramatic network television today (actress/director/executive producer).

When will we see more of Christoph? Coming right up! You can get your Christoph fix in episodes 511 "Dead Air" (January 8) and 512 "Blessings in Disguise" (January 15). In this week's "Ask Mary Ann" column (see above), we learn ghosts love to hang out at colleges because of all the energy, and Rockland University is no exception. In these two episodes, Ned must help Melinda solve two very different ghost-related mysteries that happen on campus.

What's coming up? Mark your calendar — Jamie Kennedy will be one of the on-the-street announcers featured for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. He's a funny dude so you won't want to miss it.
