Ghost Whisperer Producers Counting Down to Season 5 Premiere

Ghost Whisperer
Here we go!
We've made it to final episode for Season 4 before we kick off Season 5. Believe it or not, we're still putting finishing touches on our premiere episode, but should have it all locked up at the beginning of next week. Yikes!
In our season premiere, you will be personally introduced to Melinda and Jim's new baby at the moment the baby is put into Melinda's arms. At that moment, Melinda and Jim will send, online, to all their Ghost Whisperer friends, a customized baby announcement with fabulous photos and details about their precious new gift. To receive this exciting up-to-the-moment bundle of joy (birth announcement!), register now by clicking here. And, tell your friends. We can't wait to share this once in a lifetime exciting Ghost Whisperer moment with you. And stay tuned to discover if Mel's baby has a "gift" related to the spirit world... and, if so, what's the "gift."
To kick off Season 5, we've created a revolutionary interactive GHOST WHISPERER GHOST MAGIC music video. You can interact with the ghost and it will reveal clues and secrets about the spirit world. We'll provide more details for you right here, so check back in with us before the premiere.
We've heard many of you are going to host Ghost Whisperer Premiere Parties all over the country — make sure you share with us how those screening parties go. Please be sure to join our Facebook group. Set up your profile, send us photos of you and your family and friends watching the show. Be sure to post comments! We love hearing from you.
Speaking of, Terry K. Britain, in your post, you wanted to know if the Grandview Town Square is based on the center traffic circle in the town of Orange, Calif. Great eye, Terry! We shot the pilot of Ghost Whisperer in the town square of Orange — remember the ghost dog dashing in front of Melinda's car? That was in the Orange town square. We built a war memorial platform over top of the giant fountain in the center of the town square. When we moved to Universal Studios Back Lot, we took the inspiration of Orange (and the war memorial — which was inspired by a war memorial in Donora, Penn.) and modified it to fit into the former Back to the Future town square (remember the clock tower — which was also used in Sneakers?). Then our production designers modified the town square to have the same feeling as Nyack, N.Y., which is where John Gray (creator) grew up. Nyack: quaint and sophisticated town just a stone's throw from Manhattan — a great prototype for the perfect 21st Century USA town.
Also, a special shout out to our Super Fan Mike M. of San Diego! He gets a copy of the Season 4 DVD set because his name popped into Jamie's hands at the Comic-Con panel. Your DVD is making its way to you, Mike. Enjoy! For your very own DVD Season 4, check out your local retailers Sept. 22nd.
We are pleased to announce that our co-executive producer Mark B. Perry (and his partner Mark = M & M Antiques) is following in Melinda's footsteps by opening a beautiful antique shop in Pasadena. Now Mark will have first-hand experience with ghosts attached to antiques — we're sure those experiences will make their way into the Ghost Whisperer scripts.
Also, congratulations to cast member Jamie Kennedy, who has been selected as a judge for Yoostar, a new game system that allows you to be the star of your favorite movie or TV show. Jamie will go on tour to judge participant's performances as you compete for cool prizes — we hope you will take a run at Ghost Whisperer. To check it out, click here.
Make sure you watch Entertainment Tonight on Friday evening; Ellen on Sept. 21; and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on Sept. 23 — Ghost Whisperer's Jennifer Love Hewitt will be talking about the season premiere and what it was like to direct, produce and star in the season premiere. Additionally, Love is presenting at the Emmy's this weekend — looking no less than gorgeous. Hope you'll watch (Please check your local listings to channel and times).
Speaking of story telling — make sure you click on P.K. Simonds' blog — he's got lots of great stuff to share as we head into Season 5.
Tonight's episode of Ghost Whisperer is entitled "The Book of Changes" and several important chapters are closed — just as several new ones are opened. While putting what she thinks are the finishing touches on her wedding, a death very close to home puts Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Eli (Jamie Kennedy) on the trail of a stolen rare antiquity — a very special book with vital clues about Melinda and Jim's (David Conrad) unborn child. Know that the Book of Changes has great impact on the launch of Season 5 — so make sure you tune in for this show to bone up.
"The Book of Changes" was written and directed by show creator John Gray.
"The Book of Changes" guest stars: Emmy Award winner David Clennon (Dream On and Grey's Anatomy), Graham McTavish as Gordon Bradey (Prison Break and Pushing Daisies), Soap Opera Digest Award Winner Jason Brooks as Jeremy Bishop (Days of Our Lives, Star Trek and Baywatch), and Jaclyn DeSantis as Zoe (Windfalls).
Musically this episode features "Ordinary Day" by Canadian folk artist Emilie Mover (Balonka Records), Chicago-based singer/songwriter Alice Peacock's song "Lovely" (Peacock Music), and indie up and comer Jesse Dee's "Yet to Come" (7not Records).

In preparation for tonight's show, we invite you to play "Find the Book of Changes" an interactive adventure game, where the player must search a spooky library and help Melinda Gordon find the mysterious book.
