Bailey Chase, Saving Grace: Off to a Smokin' Start!
Season 3 came out smoking! I loved the look and feel of last week's episode. Really strong development of the characters' bonds and their interaction. The kind of short-hand banter that you only see in a mature show.
I had the fortunate opportunity to watch the premiere on the big screen in front of a live audience at the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles. It's truly fascinating to witness the live reactions as people watch for the first time. A real treat. Look for more character development among the ensemble, but don't expect Butch and Kendra to rush to the altar. As Rhetta so eloquently pointed out: "Dating a reporter is tricky, playing for Texas is treason. Even your own mother thinks so."
Congrats to HawthoRNe on a great season premiere. If you haven't already, you should definitely check it out. TNT continues to push the envelope with compelling and innovative drama.
On the personal side, I'm supremely excited to head home for my niece's baptism next weekend and become a godfather. Life continues to provide surprising blessings. Until next week...
