Woooo Hooooo! Thanks to my team, I have made it to Week 3! Thanks guys!
We start out by meeting Alison Sweeney in what looks like a Chuck E. Cheese's ... but with more candy. She informs us that we have our first pop challenge. This season of The Biggest Loser, we have made it our mission to help fight childhood obesity. But to fight something, you need to understand it. In this challenge, we will be tested on our knowledge of childhood obesity.
However, since we obviously don't know a whole lot about adult obesity, let alone obesity of the childhood variety, nothing we threw out was really an answer. It was more like our best guess, delivered with a smile. So, what happens to the losers? They have to spend four and a half hours like a typical American teen: watching TV, eating junk and, the worst thing you can do as a BL contestant, NO WORKING OUT!!
Red Team pulls ahead early and we guarantee that we will not be trapped in that room for the week. That's GREAT because I don't know how I would survive a week without working out with Dolvett (and his dreamy smile). Blue team ends up getting stuck in the room every day, but they don't let it get them down because they still get a couple of KILLER workouts in with Bob —that just happen to be in the middle of the night. I don't know about Blue team, but I need my beauty sleep.
This is finally my week! I am able to workout with Dolvett and I get to do what the rest of my team is doing. I'm puking all over the place, but I don't let it get me down. I get right back up on the machine and get to busting some butt again. One thing is for sure though - Dolvett's dungeon is TOUGH!!
Since this week is all about cutting the junk, our challenge was junk food-related. I think it was a type of aversion therapy because it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my entire life. We had to run through a pit of bubblegum, get a 10-pound gum ball from a machine, and trudge back through... four times! The winner gets a year's supply of groceries for free.
At first glance, it seems so simple, but it's not until I got into the pit that I realized how difficult it was! This stuff is like quicksand, the harder you pulled against it, the harder it pulled you down. The trick was to NOT get your hands down into the goo. That's how you end up looking like a swamp creature.
Red team ends up clenching the victory and we are feeling good! We also sail through our last chance workout and I am feeling so good about this weigh-in. I worked hard, ate right, and I just know I am going to get out of the 300's.
I get up on the scale and only lost two pounds. "HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE??" I thought to myself. I had worked so hard and my diet was perfect. This is just impossible. If I, by some miracle, make it though this weigh-in, something needs to change!
I'm still in the 300's and to make matters worse, my team loses. We have to vote out one of our own teammates (the lovely and beautiful Cate). This weigh-in was a bad one for my team.
Weigh-in aside though, this week was great. I was able to do more in my workouts, I didn't throw up in the bubblegum pit, and Dolvett made me a promise: He is going to do everything in his power to keep me on the ranch because I have a good attitude.
