Hell's Kitchen, Rookie Blue

Are you tired of reruns and reality shows?

Summers have traditionally only offered new episodes of such reality juggernauts as NBC's America's Got Talent," Fox's So You Think You Can Dance and Hell's Kitchen, ABC's The Bachelorette, and CBS' Big Brother. But this summer, ABC bucked the trend and launched three new scripted series, Rookie Blue, Scoundrels and The Gates. The Wrap says that advertisers prefer these scripted shows for their products, and that the conventional wisdom that they are more expensive to produce might not be as true as it once was.

What do you think? Do you like junky summer reality fare or would you rather watch fresh scripted series every June?
