Terri Seymour Wins Restraining Order Against Idol Attacker

Terri Seymour and Simon Cowell

Terri Seymour won a restraining order against the woman who choked her after the American Idol finale.

After a hearing in Santa Monica, court records show that a judge granted Seymour, Simon Cowell's ex-girlfriend, a three-year order, according to the Associated Press.

Janice Thibodeaux, the Extra correspondent's attacker, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery last week and was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to complete an anger-management program and undergo a psychological evaluation.

Thibodeaux was arrested last month when police say they saw her choke Seymour after Idol's finale. Thibodeaux claimed she tried to choke Seymour to send a message to Cowell for playfully choking Paula Abdul the week prior.
