Is Bret Michaels heading back to American Idol — as a judge?
The Poison rocker told the crowd at his Biloxi, Miss., show Friday that he was in the running to replace Simon Cowell.

"I can't say this is true yet, cause I don't know," he said in video footage taped by TMZ. "Next year they asked me to possibly be the judge on American Idol."
Fox declined to comment.

Michaels, 47, performed a duet with Idol finalist Casey James on Wednesday's finale, three days after winning Celebrity Apprentice. Friday's show was his first concert since he suffered a brain hemorrhage and a warning stroke during the past month.
