David Cook Gearing up for Debut Album Release

David Cook
Get ready, Cookie fans! American Idol winner David Cook is putting the finishing touches on his debut album.
According to EW, Cook's album, which releases Nov. 18, has been mastered, and the singer is personally overseeing the final steps in the process. Cook wrote or co-wrote 11 of the disc's 12 tracks, working with the Goo Goo Dolls' Johnny Reznik, Our Lady Peace's Raine Maida (who gets credit on four tracks) and Chris Cornell, who penned the first single off the album, "Light On."
In addition to wrapping up his time in the studio, Cook is also shooting the video for Light On in L.A. with Wayne Isham and gearing up for a slew of TV appearances to promote the album. Cook will perform on the Nov. 1 episode of Saturday Night Live (the last full episode before the election) and will stop by Good Morning America and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno among others.
Beginning Oct. 21, fans who pre-order the album on iTunes will be able to instantly download "Light On" and will also get an exclusive bonus track once the album is released. Are you ready to rock with Cook?
