David Cook, Lady GaGa

He's going home.... Oops, wrong alumnus.

Er, David Cook will return to the American Idol stage for the first time since being crowned the Season 7 champ, performing on the Top Downloads theme week's results show airing Wednesday, April 1.

Cook will ask you to "Come Back to Me," singing the latest single off of his self-titled debut album. A preview of the video for the single will also air during the broadcast, while the full video will be availble at AT&T for 24 hours after the airing.

Cook's drop-by comes in the midst of his first headline tour, which kicked off February 13 and has played to sold-out venues.

Performing on Idol that same night is Lady Gaga, singing "Poker Face." Lady Gaga's debut album, The Fame, was released in 2008, and its first single, "Just Dance," netted a Grammy nod for Best Dance Recording.
