What do you get when you cross Carrie Underwood with Mötley Crüe? This year's American Idol farewell song.
The Season 4 champ has recorded a version of the band's "Home Sweet Home" for the Fox juggernaut to play over the montage reel for this season's departing singers, Entertainment Tonight reports. Underwood is the third Idol alum to contribute a send-off tune, and all include the all-important word "home." Ruben Studdard offered his rendition of "Celebrate Me Home," while Daughtry provided its very own "Home."
Underwood's version will make its debut on Wednesday's result show. The tune will be available on iTunes until March 16 and through retailers after that. The song's proceeds will go to The Humane Society of the United States, the charity of Underwood's choice.
